Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) – National Youth Service (NYS)
The Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and National Youth Service (NYS) programme aimed to train young people and provide them with practical work experience as part of the training programme. The director of Umfula Consort was responsible for the Project Management of the training at 11 correctional facilities where accredited water and wastewater training was conducted. The founder of the service provider, which has implemented the skills programmes has since joined Umfula Consort.
Training with a total credit value of 30 credits were provided to each of the learners while the learners were employed at water and wastewater treatment facilities. A total of 72 learners were trained during this training exercise.

- Sevenfontein Correctional Service

- Patensie Correctional Service
- Kirkwood Correctional Service
Several of the learners has since progressed and completed the NQF II qualification.
North West Province Department of Health and Social Development: Operation and Maintenance of Wastewater Infrastructure
The operation of the water and wastewater facilities at the Gelukspan, Thusong and Mahikeng hospitals required staff to be empowered to operate the water and wastewater facilities. Umfula Consort in partnership with IETI presented workplace accredited training with a credit value of 30 credits to each of the learners. The staff was registered as Process Controllers with the Department of Water and Sanitation as a result of the training which were provided.
